Flames Mediterranean & Grill, located in Memphis’s University District, needed a site that reflected the vibrant flavors and warm hospitality of their restaurant while delivering modern functionality. The task was more than a visual update—it was to replicate the energy of the dining experience online and make it genuinely functional. The challenge lay in balancing the restaurant’s welcoming, neighborhood vibe with streamlined usability for everything from browsing the menu to ordering or making inquiries. Our Approach
We started by exploring Flames’s core identity—its Mediterranean flair, approachable atmosphere, and local connection to the University District. We then translated that into a digital presence: visually inviting, mobile-first, and intuitively navigable.
Using Webflow as the foundation, we incorporated a template tailored to hospitality contexts—optimized for both aesthetics and functionality. The new site showcases menu categories like wraps, plates, and appetizers with clear imagery and layout. Technical Innovation
The site was developed with Webflow using Axom’s custom implementation to ensure fast load times, easy content updates, and responsive mobile performance.
